NOG Energy Week 2025 brought together the 7,000 + professionals,350+ exhibiting companies, and policymakers to discuss the future of energy in Nigeria and Africa at large.
From sportsmanship on the golf to strategic dialogues and glamorous gala nights, the week-long event combined networking, policy dialogue, investment and innovation.
Day One: Strategy Kick-off
The NOG Energy Week began on a vibrant note with the NOG Golf Tournament, where industry executives bonded.
After the ceremonial tee-off there was a casual networking lunch.
Day one evening, visitors met for the Welcome “Green Affair” Gala Dinner, which was presented by Green Energy International Limited.
The occasion included exquisite banquets, lively entertainment, and the presentation of golf awards to deserving golfers.
Day Two: Seminars
The Nigerian Content Seminar began with a welcome address by Wemimo Oyelana, who majorly highlighted Nigeria’s strength through indigenous skills and partnerships.
Key presentations and panel discussions focused on the relevance of the NOGICD Act, the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund (NCIF), and the significance of technology localisation and skill reimagination.
Day 3
The day 3 of the Strategic Conference began with Christopher Hudson (President, dmg events) identifying it as a platform for resilience.
Notable speakers include
- Abdulrazaq Isa (IPPG Chair): on increasing output and investment.
- Bashir Bayo Ojulari (GCEO, NNPC) spoke about gas development and pipeline security.
- Ministers Ekpo and Lokpobiri demand increased collaboration, policy reforms, and energy inclusion.
The evening celebrations continued with the Owambe Gala Dinner, which featured vibrant music and performances by Teni and Johnny Drille.
Day 4: Deep Dives into Strategy and Recognition
Panel discussions covered:
- Energy Security through Domestic Gas
- Accelerating Gas Development
- Africa’s Competitive Energy Market
- Refining Sector Transformation
- Indigenous Innovation in Energy
The day ended with the Arabian Night Gala Dinner, hosted by Shell, and vibrant celebrations of cultural elegance.
Day 5: Renewables and Recognition
Day 5 talked more on the future of renewables in Nigeria’s energy mix.
Speakers boldly pushed for national frameworks, regulatory independence, and financial innovation to integrate clean energy.
The day ended with Wande Coal electrifying performance.
